Guilt appears when we say no, when we put ourselves first, when we set boundaries or when we stop holding what we have always held. But what if it speaks less about what we have done and more about what we learned in order not to lose love?
In this episode we explore guilt as a relational emotion built in childhood, between attachment, conditions of worth and the fear of losing the bond. We talk about how it intertwines with shame and repressed anger, and why, culturally, many women carry a constant guilt for not living up to the ideal of the ever-available carer.
We also tell guilt apart from responsibility, review its protective function —and its cost— and share keys to start moving from a more conscious and compassionate place.
An episode to question that inner voice that judges us… and start choosing from somewhere else.
