Voy a la Psico:
a podcast about psychology and therapy
The Calma de Ser podcast that brings you closer to psychology, therapy and all those things that are sometimes hard to say out loud. The episodes are recorded in Spanish.
Here you will find all the episodes of Voy a la Psico, from the most recent to the first.
Conversations about experiences that come up in the consulting room and also outside it: what we think in silence, what we find hard to explain and the questions we sometimes need to hear someone else ask.
Learning to hold uncertainty
There are times when life does not entirely depend on us, and others when, although something inside is already moving, we are not yet ready to act.
all the episodes
Envy and shadow: what the other awakens in you
In this episode we talk about envy without moralising: as a human, common and often misunderstood emotion.
Maternal guilt: healing while we mother
In this episode of Voy a la Psico we keep digging into guilt, this time focusing on maternal guilt.
Guilt: the inner police we learned so that we would be loved
Guilt appears when we say no, when we put ourselves first, when we set boundaries or when we stop holding what we have always held.
The couple as mirror or healing
On Valentine's Day there is a lot of talk about love, but today we look at it in depth. We explore why the couple is a place where old wounds reopen, how the inner child shows up in arguments, and why sometimes we are not arguing with our partner, but with our history.
Self-compassion versus victimhood: a difference that changes everything
In this episode of Voy a la Psico we talk about a very common confusion: self-compassion and victimhood are not the same.
Women and self-demand: where does so much pressure come from?
In this episode we talk about self-demand in many women and how, often, it does not come “out of nowhere” but is learned among looks, expectations and social mandates until one day we feel it is our own voice.
New Year’s resolutions: it is not the what, it is the where from
In this episode we talk about New Year's resolutions and why they sometimes motivate us…
Grief: when the soul asks you to stop
Grief is a natural, deep and often silenced process.
The thousand colours of Christmas
Christmas is not the same for everyone. Sometimes it lights up, sometimes it stirs things up.
What we call pathology… is just adaptation to survive
In this episode we open a necessary conversation: how we have started calling pathology what are often adaptations that were born to protect us.
Boundaries with others
Do you find it hard to set boundaries with others? Do you notice that sometimes you say yes when something inside you asks for a no?
Boundaries with yourself
Sometimes the tiredness does not come from what we do, but from what we demand of ourselves. In this episode we talk about the hardest boundaries: the ones we set with ourselves.
Interview with Carla. Going to therapy to learn to choose yourself
In this episode we talk with Carla, our first guest, about what it means to go “to the psych” naturally, without drama and as an act of self-care.
Coming back to you. Embracing what you already are but cannot see
In this episode we talk about coming back to yourself, about embracing what we already are even if sometimes we cannot see it.
Identities that expire
In this episode we talk about those identities that, over time, stop holding us up. The masks we built in childhood, adolescence or adult life to survive, fit in or please, and that no longer represent us today.
The journey back to myself. The woman who chooses herself
How many times have you forced yourself to be someone you are not in order to fit in? Sometimes it is not anxiety.
conversations to put words to what is happening to you
There are things we feel long before we know how to explain them.
Sometimes anxiety, guilt, tiredness, difficulty setting boundaries or the feeling of always repeating the same patterns appears. We know something is happening to us, but we cannot find the words to understand it or know where to start looking.
Voy a la Psico is a space to talk about all of that with closeness, honesty and depth.
We are Laura and Marta, two psychotherapists and co-founders of Calma de Ser. In every episode we talk about emotional health, relationships, therapy and life processes from our professional experience, but also from what is part of real life.
No cold theory, no diagnoses thrown into the air, no quick fixes. We want to help you recognise yourself, understand something new and approach psychology in a more human way.
You can listen to us if you are in therapy, if you are thinking of starting, or if you simply need to begin by putting words to what you are living.
what is Voy a la Psico
Psychology you can take into your life.
Voy a la Psico was born to bring psychology into everyday conversations.
We talk about what happens inside, but also about how it shows in relationships, in the body, in decisions and in the way we have learned to carry life.
We do not want to give you a list of tips or tell you how you should feel. We want to understand with you what may lie behind what is happening to you: your story, your bonds, your ways of protecting yourself and the needs that may have gone unmet for a long time.
In some episodes the two of us talk. In others, we invite professionals and people who can bring new perspectives on experiences that go through us all.
Every episode aims to open a small door:
Recognise yourself. Understand something. Feel trust. Find a next step.
The podcast does not replace a therapeutic process, nor does it try to do therapy through audio. It is a space to get closer to our perspective, ask yourself questions and feel a little less alone in what you are living.
Sometimes recognising yourself in a conversation can help you understand something new. And from there, perhaps also find your own next step.
topics
You can start with whatever touches you most closely today.

Anxiety and emotional regulation
To understand constant worry, rumination, fear, feeling stuck and what happens when the body lives on alert for too long.

Bonds and relationships
Conversations about boundaries, dependence, loneliness, friendship and the patterns that repeat in the way we get close, pull away or care for others.

Self-esteem and self-demand
Episodes about guilt, comparison, perfectionism, the need to please and the difficulty of feeling we are enough without having to prove it all the time.

Therapy and self-knowledge
A close way of explaining what happens in therapy, how the therapeutic bond is built and why understanding something intellectually is not always enough to live it differently.

Life changes and grief
To support break-ups, losses, decisions, motherhood, personal crises and moments when what used to hold us up no longer fits.

Parenting and motherhood
Reflections on guilt, mental load, boundaries, tiredness, bonding and the challenges of caring for children without ceasing to exist as a person.

Conversations about communication, repeated conflicts, intimacy, desire, trust and the way a relationship can become a meeting place, but also a trigger for old wounds.

Behind the microphones
we are Laura and Marta
We are psychotherapists, co-founders of Calma de Ser and two people who like to think together about everything that makes us who we are.
For years we have shared a profession, learning, motherhood, life changes and many conversations about what happens inside and outside the consulting room.
Voy a la Psico was born from those conversations.
We wanted to create a space to talk about psychology with rigour, but without turning it into a lecture. With depth, but without making it inaccessible. With closeness, but without simplifying experiences that deserve to be looked at with care.
We do not always think exactly alike, and that is also part of the podcast. We want to open questions, share nuances and approach human experience without offering a single answer for everything.
