I am a registered health psychologist and integrative therapist specialising in children, adolescents and family intervention.
I studied Psychology driven by an interest in understanding human behaviour and, especially, interpersonal relationships: how they affect us, how they shape us and how they can also become a source of repair.
My professional career began in the field of social intervention. For years I supported families, women and children in situations of abuse, adversity and neglect.
Working in such diverse settings brought me closer to the resilience approach and helped me build a more compassionate and non-judgemental perspective. It also led me to go deeper into trauma, attachment and the way early experiences can influence emotional and relational development.
I work from an integrative approach. This means I draw on contributions from different models to understand distress in a broad way and to adapt the process to each child, adolescent or family, and not the other way round.
My training brings together constructivist therapy, humanistic psychotherapy, systemic family therapy, attachment, mentalisation and the trauma perspective. In sessions with children I also bring in play as a therapeutic language that allows them to express themselves, process experiences and discover new resources.
I see therapy as a space of unconditional acceptance, where every child can feel recognised and make peace with who they are. At the same time, I support the family so that they can understand what is happening, review their dynamics and activate their own resources.
