I am a social educator and integrative therapist specialising in children, adolescents and family intervention.
I began my professional career within the child protection system of Catalonia. This experience led me to specialise progressively in the emotional and therapeutic support of children, adolescents and families.
I am a firm advocate of good treatment of children. I understand that safe, respectful and nurturing relationships have great protective and healing power. But for them to be built, it is also necessary to support, in a human and compassionate way, the adults who care for them.
My training in Gestalt applied to childhood and adolescence, person-centred emotional support and systemic family therapy allows me to attend both to the child’s experience and to the bonds and dynamics created within the family.
Motherhood also deeply marked my journey. It helped me understand that parenting cannot be reduced to meeting goals, following guidelines or applying general recipes. It means coming into contact with what the child feels, with what we feel as adults and, very often, with our own story as sons and daughters.
This experience reaffirmed my wish to support mothers, fathers and caregivers who want to relate to children and adolescents in a more conscious and nurturing way.
In the therapeutic process I do not seek to point out mistakes or offer magic solutions. I am interested in creating a space where the family can pause, understand what is happening and find new ways to communicate, regulate and care for one another.
